I visited a village after spending couple of year in a metro city. People have a busy life, running from home to office and office to home in metro where as in village their life is slow. They do a lot of hard work but it is not much skilled. They still follow various traditional ways of farming, cooking, entertainment, traveling etc.
When I met with them I felt they were mentally happy. They know how to enjoy the life with small earning in available resources. They don't go to gyms but their physiques are strong neither they go to swimming pools, they have a natural one. They do heavy work sometime in fields, sometime on constructions.I met with a family who were digging a well by their own and they had dug a 35 feet well by their own in free time and still digging. Where as in metros we open the fridge and get some chilled mineral water to quench our thirst.
We spend much of a time in skilled jobs and eating what we can get out from marts where as they have everything fresh. From vegetables, fruits, medicinal trees & plants, fresh and less polluted air, fresh water, way bigger house, crops which they grow by their own, pure milk etc.
But many of them want to go to bigger cities. some for education of their children, leisure or the frustration of less per capita income and less job opportunities there. I thought why we can't make jobs for them in their own place. something like work from home!!
But still looking at the comparison health is more important because health is wealth.
